Colour My WorldColour My World - 14 December 2011
Team 1 children have been learning about colour this term in our Colour My World topic. Well known Wellington artist Anna Stitchbury worked with children in Rooms 1 and 2 using paint to express emotions. The children chose their favourite piece and profiles of their faces were then made using that piece of art.
 
Term 4 AssemblyTerm 4 Assembly - 14 December 2011
Our last Assembly for the year had a focus on colour. One of the highlights was a visual and musical presentation of Yellow Submarine, one of our favourite songs this term.
 
Team 1 Athletics at Northland ParkTeam 1 Athletics at Northland Park - 14 December 2011
During the last week of the term Year 1 and 2 students participated in an athletics afternoon at Northland Park. The events included running, jumping, throwing, novelty races and an obstacle course. Senior students helped with a scary goblin hunt by making noises as the children went through a tunnel.
 
Visit to the Dowse Art GalleryVisit to the Dowse Art Gallery - 14 December 2011
Team 1 children had a wonderful trip to the Dowse Art Gallery to see an exhibition called Spectrum, all about colour and how it affects our feelings. The children then experimented with water colour and Indian ink in the Dowse art workshop.
