Team 3 - Term 4 2011

Team 3 Science RotationTeam 3 Science Rotation
In Team 3 we are doing a science rotation. In Room 11 we did experiments involving heat and warmth such as burning a teabag and making a blubber mitten. In Room 9 we were concentrating on magnets, we learnt about the North and South Pole of a magnet and the magnetic field. In Room 10 we predicted what would happen when we threw a balloon with a smaller water balloon in it across the room. The science rotation was very interesting. It has inspired me to learn more.

LeoLeo
At the start of term four we got a new child called Leo. He’s German which means of course he speaks fluent German. When the athletics was on he came first on all the events so obviously he’s very athletic. He has fitted into this class very well and it’s lucky because we have Tini in our class - she speaks German too so that helps.

Team 3 SportTeam 3 Sport
Team 3’s sport this term is all about hitting a ball or shuttle with a type of racket. The sports we practice are badminton, patter tennis and T-ball. All the students are great at these sports and enjoy them as well.

NS Athletics Day
On Tuesday 8th of November, years 3-8 of Northland School travelled by bus to Benburn Park for the athletics. It was a bright sunny day and everyone had a good time. Each year group started at one activity then rotated around the other activities. At the end all the year groups had done high jump, long jump, quoits, vortex and sprints. I think the athletics went really well and everyone enjoyed it.
